Community Outreach and Prevention

Partnering with the Burn Prevention Foundation and Burn Foundation of Philadelphia

The Burn Center team educates community groups and health care professionals in partnership with the Burn Prevention Foundation, a partner of Lehigh Valley Hospital and Health Network, and the Burn Foundation of Philadelphia. Both organizations work to prevent fire and burn injuries with programs that include:

  • Student nurse and school nurse programs
  • Pre-hospital and emergency department education
  • Industry burn prevention
  • First responder and firefighter programs
  • Re-entry to school program for burned children
